Batshit insane. That’s the best way to describe John Carreyou’s Bad Blood. It’s the story of Elizabeth Holmes and her startup, Theranos, and how she along with Sunny Balwani were able to pull off a huge and shameless fraud, spending tens of millions in venture capital to attain a multi-billion dollar valuation. Carreyou is clearly an investigative reporter of exceptional talent, and I have little doubt that this work will contribute to the ultimate imprisonment of Balwani and Holmes.

A statue should be erected in Gerry Lenfest’s honor at City Hall to remind future generations of this man who made it his mission to give away as much wealth as possible before he died.
